Catalina Alemany

Strategist

With more than six years of experience in data analysis, Catalina is a policy and research expert with a particularly strong background in transatlantic relations, and geopolitical strategy.
Prior to joining ColdSpark, she served as Special Assistant to Ambassador Mark Wallace, where she worked across three different organizations; these being United Against Nuclear Iran, the Counter Extremism Project, and the Auschwitz Research Center on Hate, Extremism, and Radicalization. Furthermore, in 2024, Alemañy developed a unique computational program dedicated to identifying patterns in political discourse on American deterrence strategies and attitudes toward nuclear policy in the context of Iran. Previous to this endeavor, her work included computational analysis of political speech to detect populist narratives, as well as models on consumer ethnocentrism and its ties to American trade behavior.
Catalina holds a master’s degree in Global and European Politics from the European School of Political and Social Sciences, based in Lille, France. She also holds a dual bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science and French from the University of Pittsburgh.
