Kerry McConnon is a senior public affairs executive with more than 28 years of experience driving growth, building client partnerships, and leading high-impact programs for Fortune 500 companies, major trade associations, and advocacy organizations nationwide.
Kerry is best known as one of the founding partners of DDC Public Affairs, where he spent more than two decades helping build the firm into one of the country’s preeminent public affairs agencies. Over a 26-year tenure, he held a number of senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Business Development and ultimately President, overseeing revenue growth, client strategy, and national expansion.
Throughout his career, Kerry has focused on aligning public affairs strategy with execution — helping organizations navigate complex political, regulatory, and reputational challenges while delivering measurable results. His work spans corporate advocacy, issue management, coalition building, and strategic communications across federal, state, and local environments.
In recent years, Kerry has continued to advise and support emerging firms and initiatives in the public affairs space, applying his experience in business development, market positioning, and organizational growth.
Kerry currently serves as a Partner at ColdSpark, where he is focused on expanding public affairs programs that prioritize strategic clarity, credibility, and real-world impact.
He lives in Vienna, Virginia, with his wife, Stephanie Davari McConnon, and their four children
